Change to #5 Feed and Housing

I wanted to make everyone aware of a change to #5 housings and feeds.

#5 feeds have been redesigned. As a result, dimensional changes have occurred to the housing.

There are three dimensional changes as outlined on the spec sheet linked below. All other dimensions are identical, including thread specifications. The nibs themselves are also identical.

This change may require internal dimensional alterations to section designs, depending upon tolerances.

IMPORTANT DETAIL - I have designed my own #5 sections to fit the new housings. What I've found so far is that once this design change is made, the internal section specifications will accommodate both the new and the original housing. The most critical deviation between the original housing dimensions and the new housing dimensions is the .295" vs .303" internal shoulder. I have found that this .008" difference is not enough to affect the required tolerance to keep the original nib design firm within newly designed sections. Of course, your mileage may vary, but within my own designs, my new internal specifications work well for both the new and old housings. If anyone would like me to share my exact internal specifications for #5 sections given this change, I'll be happy to oblige.

Over time, all #5 nibs will transition to this new design. Whatever inventory you see of the original #5 nibs is what we have left. As these nibs sell, the new design will replace them.
